As part of the MIUR-funded research project entitled Italian Mountain Lab (IML), a line of research has been developed to survey tourist and ecotourism activities in the Parks of the Alps and Apennines with special focus on the expectations and experience of the excursionist tourist. The filling in of the questionnaire will allow a first survey aimed at enhancing the tourist-recreational function of our protected areas with special attention to ecological and experiential tourism in the context of sustainable development programmes (Agenda 2030).
